HONG KONG HANDOVER 1997 - 20 years ago the United Kingdom handed Hong Kong back to China. The Massed Bands, Pipes & Drums and Tri-Service Guard of Honour paraded for the last time on the quayside next to HMY Britannia and Buglers from the Royal Marines played "Sunset" as the Union Flag was lowered for the last time. The solo piper was Pipe Major Steven Small who went on to become Director of Army Bagpipe Music from 2007-2016. #ThrowbackThursday | IMMS - UK
