🇬🇧 HURRICANE MK I V7497/G-HRLI 🇬🇧 Imperial War Museum Duxford Aircraft Restoration Company Hawker Hurricane V7497, also known as G-HRLI, is a Mk I Hurricane that was manufactured in August 1940 by Hawker Aircraft Ltd at Kingston. It saw action during the Battle of Britain with 501 Squadron, flying from Kenley. The aircraft was shot down by a Bf 109 on September 28, 1940, over Kent. The pilot, P/O E B Rogers, survived by bailing out. After an in-depth restoration completed by Hawker Restorati
