Twelve people were shot, three of them fatally, when random gunfire erupted in the Grays Ferry section of South Philadelphia. A large crowd had gathered at South Etting and Dickinson streets around 1 a.m. when a gunfight broke out. “This is coward stuff,” said Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel. “You see the size of this block.
