Why is my ice maker not producing ice? The ice maker settings are very important when it comes to producing ice. Freezer temperature needs to be set at -18°C. Ensure the ice maker is switched on and the light inside is on, solid and not flashing. Check there is a magnet in the ice drawer. This is important because the magnet lets the ice maker know there is a drawer in place to catch the ice. If the magnet is missing, it will not turn out the ice.
