An oblong-winged katydid at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. Baby katydids of this species usually hatch out green, the perfect camouflage color for hiding in leaves. But every few thousand eggs yields surprising color morphs such as pink, orange and yellow, which in the wild would immediately be seen by predators and eaten.
