Muskellunge, or muskie, are one of the largest fish in Minnesota waters. The current state record is a whopping 58 1/4 inch muskie caught on Lake Mille Lacs in 2022! But these fish start small, and every year DNR staff rears 25,000-30,000 muskies to stock Minnesota lakes.
