"Hungarian Partridge".. Also known as Gray Partridge and referred to by many as Huns. They can be found in small groups called coveys and when disturbed they explode into a high-pitched, squawking flight. Female Partridge can lay up to 22 eggs which is among the most of any bird species. I’ve always been fascinated by these neat, little birds and I’m glad to see that their numbers have been improving drastically over the last several years in Western ND. | ND Wildlife and Landscapes
