A Winter Storm Warning is up for the Mountains until noon Thursday and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 8 AM to the east. Icy travel is possible in the mountains with blowing snow making it harder to see for drivers. Black ice is the biggest concern for travel hazards in the Piedmont and Foothills. Snowfall totals are forecast to be highest in the mountains with 2"-5" totals. Areas in the Triad and some parts of the Foothills may see little to no accumulation while others see closer
